Viktor Anufriev is one of the artists who took the first foreign steps from St. Petersburg in 1989. He and his colleagues introduce us to an independent art direction within  postmodernism of the last decade of the twentieth century: the neosymbolism of St. Petersburg.

This striking technique, together with the refined styling, provides the unique appearance of his work. His idiosyncratic compositions, impressive use of colour and experimental painting technique are characteristic of his always recognisable, distinctive style.
